How exciting!? The search for the next Miss Great Britain is in full swing as glamorous heats take place up and down the country and a bevvy of beautiful girls compete to get to the much coveted finals in November! Now here at Designer Desirables we are serious lovers at of all things glamorous, feminine and fabulous in fashion so Miss Great Britain sounds like something we would LOVE. We were also most excited when the CEO of the company, Paula was asked to be on the judging panel this Saturday for the Miss Newcastle heat. *Squeals* As a former beauty queen and model Paula knows exactly what it takes to get that crown!

The other exciting news is that there is still time to enter and win (think big ladies) the ultimate and prestigious title of Miss GB so what are you waiting for? Do you have what it takes to represent this fair isle with your beauty, intelligence, elegance and sparkling personality? Or perhaps you know someone a friend, sister, daughter, niece or next door neighbour who has that pageant potential?! Remember too that the age range has been raised from 18 up to 29, single mums can now enter as can divorced ladies.

After six seasons of drama the cast of The Hills gathered last night to say goodbye during a live screening of the hit reality show’s shocking finale. We love a celeb style spot at Designer Desirables and the stars of the glossiest and most glamorous reality TV show on the box did not disappoint. The invitation for the ladies attending last night’s live finale party must have read something like, “Wear the shortest, tightest, sexiest cocktail dress you can find.” And they certainly delivered. HOTNESS.

Welcome back glamour peeps with a little bit of Designer Desirables red carpet style gossip! First up for all you Twilight fans is that really Alice Cullen?? Twilight’s Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson were unable to make it to the London premiere of their latest flick, Eclipse—but luckily co-star Ashley Greene was there to brighten up the event and inject some serious fashion fabulousity with this major glam-over!

Ashley walked the red carpet at London’s Odeon in Leicester Square in a fabulous L’Wren Scott sequin-embellished mini dress. Greene teamed her dress with a pair of satin Brian Atwood “Wagner” pumps in a steely blue. With a soft side-braided do, diamond earrings and a white clutch made this a look to remember and as we heart a good celeb style spot – Ashley’s definitely a style icon to watch!

It’s that time of year again in the North East when the Northumberland Plate Festival is upon us. And aside from a sudden (male) preoccupation with horses and the flurry of bets, there is some fabulous hats and attention seeking fashion to contend with too.
Designer Desirables spotted many an outfit from our collection of luxurious events dresses at Northumberland Plate day on its most fashionable day of the year, Ladies Day. It was all about bright and bold colours, beautiful textures and we saw a move towards more substantial hats as opposed to the fascinator -see all the best dressed race-goers in our hottest styles from the day.

The Glamour Awards were THE perfect opportunity for our fav celeb ladies to dress up in their best frocks, most sparkling jewels and show off their enviable bods to the cameras last night- and Woman of the Year Cheryl Cole led the way. The 26-year-old was the guest of honour at Glamour magazine’s Woman Of The Year prize, where the soon-to-be-divorced pop star picked up the main prize. Hooray!

She was dressed in a stunning specially designed Julien Macdonald gown with a flowing train and was presented with her award by the ultra sexy actor Jason Lewis, best known as Samantha’s boyfriend ‘Smith’ in Sex And The City.
The starlet, who has filed for divorce from footballer Ashley Cole, managed a smile and a wink as she made her entrance to the ceremony in Mayfair, central London. What a beauty!

Other style winners at the event included former Destiny’s child singer Kelly Rowland who looked super hot in a black body con shoulder dress as did songstress Duffy who showed off her curves in this tres chic lace mini dress.

It’s the moment all us shoe lovers have been gagging for: the release of the new ‘Sex And The City’ movie! While the designer desirables office wait with baited breath, clutching our new ensembles for our own girlie viewing of the fashion rollercoaster that is SATC2 (today’s the day peeps!), we can satisfy our hungry eyes with some of the pics from the New York and London premieres to get us well and truly prepped for tonight! I have actual butterflies.
Woweees. The world premiere of the Sex And The City 2 movie was of course in the big apple, and as you can imagine, it pretty much brought New York to a standstill, with SATC fans lining the streets hoping to catch a glimpse of the girls arrival at the NYC’s famous Radio City Music Hall.

My personal fav was Charlotte sorry Kristin Davis who showed off her amazing figure in a stunning vintage pink Jean Desses frock which chic metallic accessories. Doesn’t she look every inch the park avenue queen bee?! Gorgeous.
Having seen what outfits the fabulous four had to offer us in New York earlier this week, we all eagerly waited to see what fashion delights they would be wearing in London town and boy oh boy they didn’t let us down!
SJP played homage to the late great McQueen, Cynthia kept it in a simple yet stylish frock, Kim rocked a hollywood blonde bombshell look whilst Kristen remained our fav with this sparkling gold gown. Oh how we’ve missed you girls!

Christian Louboutins at the ready: there are just three days to go before the UK release of Sex And The City 2. The much anticipated fashion fest hits the big screen this Friday (squeals) and here at Designer Desirables we’ve been watching the on-set fashion developments of our four favourite Manhattanites with a very keen eye. Feast your eyes fashion lovers on a few sneaky teaser pics!
Stylist extraordinare Patricia Field is back on board, making sure the clothes play almost as big a role as Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha and Miranda. Sarah Jessica Parker has been seen in pieces from the new Halston Heritage collection infact out of Carrie’s 48 outfits, five are from Heritage, including the white, semi-sheer dress she wears in the poster teamed with £700 gold Pigalle Christian Louboutins.
So far we’ve seen hilarious Eighties flashbacks, a karaoke in Abu Dhabi, a bit souk in the city with a Moroccan location and – something we thought we’d never see – Samantha in a wedding dress. WHAT please discuss???!!
There is much to look forward to fashion-wise in the ladies’ £7 million wardrobe: In the karaoke scene pictured, Carrie wears £2,800 embellished jeans by the Blonds under a £34,000 silver-and-gold Chanel lamé dress and overskirt. The spiky shoulders Samantha wears in Abu Dhabi are also by the Blonds and cost £3,500. Ooohh well one can dream!!
