Best In Show

Monday, June 28th, 2010

It’s that time of year again in the North East when the Northumberland Plate Festival is upon us. And aside from a sudden (male) preoccupation with horses and the flurry of bets, there is some fabulous hats and attention seeking fashion to contend with too.
Designer Desirables spotted many an outfit from our collection of luxurious events dresses at Northumberland Plate day on its most fashionable day of the year, Ladies Day. It was all about bright and bold colours, beautiful textures and we saw a move towards more substantial hats as opposed to the fascinator -see all the best dressed race-goers in our hottest styles from the day.

Tonight’s The Night! SATC Lovers!

Friday, May 28th, 2010

It’s the moment all us shoe lovers have been gagging for: the release of the new ‘Sex And The City’ movie! While the designer desirables office wait with baited breath, clutching our new ensembles for our own girlie viewing of the fashion rollercoaster that is SATC2 (today’s the day peeps!), we can satisfy our hungry eyes with some of the pics from the New York and London premieres to get us well and truly prepped for tonight! I have actual butterflies.

ny pic

Woweees. The world premiere of the Sex And The City 2 movie was of course in the big apple, and as you can imagine, it pretty much brought New York to a standstill, with SATC fans lining the streets hoping to catch a glimpse of the girls arrival at the NYC’s famous Radio City Music Hall.

My personal fav was Charlotte sorry Kristin Davis who showed off her amazing figure in a stunning vintage pink Jean Desses frock which chic metallic accessories. Doesn’t she look every inch the park avenue queen bee?! Gorgeous.

Having seen what outfits the fabulous four had to offer us in New York earlier this week, we all eagerly waited to see what fashion delights they would be wearing in London town and boy oh boy they didn’t let us down!

SJP played homage to the late great McQueen, Cynthia kept it in a simple yet stylish frock, Kim rocked a hollywood blonde bombshell look whilst Kristen remained our fav with this sparkling gold gown. Oh how we’ve missed you girls!

Let us know if your off on your own fabulous SATC2 screenings tonight and we would love to know where you went and what you wore!

To finish some words from the great….. all hail SJP!

OMG It’s The Girl From Trinity!

Thursday, May 13th, 2010

Well looky here it’s that girl from Trinity! You may recognise Faye initially as the Designer Desirables drop dead gorgeous and super lovely in house model who graces much of the DD site making our designer fashions look seriously hot. However Miss Scope is also one part of the fabulous Geordie girl group Trinity!

faye1

You may have to cast your mind a lil’ way back to 2009 when Trinity performed on Britain’s Got Talent and X-Factor where they beat off 40.000 applicants to make the final 40 in boot camp. They also made Mr Cowell eat a rather large slice of humble pie after he slated them on one show and then realising his major error put them straight through on another, silly man!

Trinity

Trinity

Their dream wasn’t met that particular time *sob* but you can’t keep a northern lass down (hey Cheryl?!) and with their fierce passion for music, stunning looks and serious girl band potential Trinity are back! Fast forward a year and one marriage (not Fayes!) they are together again in the recording studio and looking forward to hitting the music scene…. hard!

Trinity

Trinity

So with a busy year ahead for Faye with her modelling and exciting music career once again beginning we wish her the bestest luck from everyone at the DD offices!

xx

PS We expect all events, premieres, awards, brits dress choices left in our capable hands okey dokey Faye?!
